TROPHY & CUP FIXTURES 2024

Bales Cup Report

On Friday 10th May it saw the Men’s EBA Team host Norfolk Bowling Club in the Zone Semi-Final of the Bales Cup. With a place in the Zone Final at stake and it being early in the season and only a few games played, NBC brought a very strong side. The weather was glorious and with the green looking superb we were set for a great evening of bowls. It wasn’t to be our night with NBC dominant from the off, after 5 ends they had a 8 shot lead and by end 10 were leading by 19 shots, eventually running out comfortable winners 71 shots to 25 shots.

Thanks to all the players who played, with some at very short notice.

Fermoy Cup played on Thursday 23rd May against Diss, this saw one block playing away and one playing at home. Aldiss Park won both home and away, winning by 6 shots overall. Unfortunately they were beaten a closely contended match in the next round.

Ladies Webb Cup was played on 27th June v Norfolk Bowls Club home and away. The ladies lost a closely fought competition. losing 11-15 at home and losing 19-13 away.

Wooton Park withdrew from the Jermy Cup leaving Aldiss Park with a walkover into the next round.
