Upcoming Events
Members are encouraged to sign up for our friendly against Cromer on August 23rd. We host the Nowak Trophy on 16th August and will need people to help out then.
Internal Competitions
The draws have been made (twice! - the second time with the correct lists of names) and some exciting match ups are in prospect. Details of the draws and when the quarters, semis and finals will be played can be found here.
County Finals
These were played on the 25th and 26th July at Thorpe Recreation Bowls Club, where both men's and women's finals and some semi finals took place over a very warm weekend. Aldiss Park had their four ladies involved on both days, with the Fours match taking place on Saturday and the Senior Fours on Sunday. Unfortunately both matches ended in defeat. Jo, Sara, Sue and Helen still travel to Leamington to play in the Nationals in the Fours Competition.
Jo Ashmore finished in style though, winning the Over 60s Singles in short order.
Well done to all who took part, winners or losers, and commiserations especially to the runner up in the Singles, who was holding two to win on the final end, only to be denied by a rather fortunate wick. Thanks to Thorpe Rec. for hosting the event.
Congratulations also to Sarah Copcutt for earning her County Badge.
New Structure
The replacement for the old gazebo is now in place. We now have a completely covered area between the kitchen/changing room and the main pavilion, providing a shaded area to sit and take refreshments.

About our Club
The Club can be found next to the football club - look out for our flag flying behind the plant place. Informal sessions (roll ups) happen most Wednesday and Sunday afternoons. We play in a range of leagues, Monday to Friday evenings and some afternoons. We welcome new players, whether experienced in playing bowls, or new to the game.
Safeguarding
We want our Club to be a welcoming place where everyone feels safe and comfortable.
Everyone is a part of this, not just the safeguarding officer. Do check out the pages here and the information available in the club house
to see how you can contribute and what to do if you have concerns.
