2025 Season finishes and preparation underway for '26
A lot has happened on our green in the last few months. Internal competitions have been played (click here for results), roll ups rolled, and external leagues competed in - Evenings Monday Whissonsett, Breckland, Tuesday Ashill Triples, Wednesday EBA, Thursday North Elmham and Friday Dereham and District. Daytime Age Concern Jackdaws and Woodpeckers and Norwich 9s. Final tables will be posted on the fixtures pages over the next few days.
We have hosted a number of events. Essex VPs and Buckinghamshire touring sides came to visit and the football club were able to help us provide suitable refreshments. We welcomed the Bales Cup, Hansel Cup, County Ladies' quarter and semi finals, County Men's quarter finals and Ladies President Pairs final. All bring welcome income to the club and rely on members to turn out to help.
Those competing in external competitions have enjoyed success, several progressing to semi-final stages and a few to finals. Jo Ashmore had a busy few days, competing in the EBA National Finals at Leamington along with Sue Frost, Heather Clements and Helen Hanley reaching the last 16, before travelling on to. Skegness for the EBF finals where she competed in the 2 Wood Singles, getting as far as the semi-finals.
Work has already started on the green getting it ready for next season. Thanks David, Davis, Chris and Lindsay for your efforts there in the last few days.

Welcome to Aldiss Park Bowls Club
Aldiss Park Bowls Club is situated on the eastern fringe of the mid-Norfolk town of Dereham.
The club sits on the same site as Dereham Town Football Club, at Aldiss Park, Norwich Road, Dereham NR20 3PX, and has a large car park.
We are a friendly, mixed, outdoor club with an excellent green. The club offers opportunities for people to take part in a variety of ways, whether it be a game, chat and cuppa at a roll-up, or whether you want to take part in one or more of the leagues or competitions. The club has teams in several local leagues, both Bowls Federation and EBA.
Roll-ups on take place most Wednesdays and Sundays at 2.00pm—members, prospective members, and non-members are always welcome. A social programme is also available.
We actively encourage beginners and coaching is available during the season. No need for your own bowls, as we can provide initially, just wear a thick pair of socks.
Don't hesitate, come along and give us a look, or for more information please contact our secretary [email protected]
